Community Benefit & Sponsorship

AnMed serves as an economic engine for Anderson and the surrounding region while also improving the community in other ways. Community benefit activities advance public education, promote the general welfare and enhance local life.

Examples of Community Benefit

AnMed provides financial assistance and subsidizes reimbursements from Medicare and Medicaid, which don’t cover the full cost of care. Community benefit also includes other vital services that don’t pay for themselves, such as behavioral health, community health improvements, community building activities and community health clinics. Finally, our employees serve our community in a variety of civic, charitable and professional endeavors.

Sponsorship Criteria

AnMed sponsors nonprofits that:

  • Align with our mission and vision 
  • Make a local impact, especially on patients 
  • Promote healthy activities 

When choosing what organizations to support, we consider factors such as:

  • Leadership engagement and connection to AnMed 
  • Existing support
