(Anderson, S.C. – February 4, 2021) – Like other providers across the country, we at AnMed have seen a trend toward shorter hospital stays and increased outpatient treatments. To meet these changing health care needs we are undertaking a major construction and modernization project that will:
- Enhance surgical services at the Medical Center with a new all-private same-day surgery area
- Expand emergency services at the Medical Center
- Relocate maternity and nursery services to the Medical Center
- Accommodate additional outpatient growth and enable future clinical programming at the AnMed North Campus
To further meet the need for health care services, we continue to aggressively recruit primary care and specialty providers for the growing market. AnMed has also created a new leadership position to lead the development of new strategies that will position the health system for continued success in the future.
We’re excited to welcome Brett Justice into that leadership position. He joined us on January 25, as our chief strategy officer and vice president of Strategic Planning, Marketing and Business Development.
The $42 million expansion project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2023.
