AnMed has partnered with Elite Integrated Therapy Centers to grow and enhance its network of outpatient therapy practices. Operating under a new name, AnMed Integrated Therapy, the partnership launched Jan. 2 with eight locations across the service area.
Future plans include an additional location at the AnMed Piedmont health care campus opening this spring.
AnMed Integrated Therapy is comprised of six locations formerly owned by Elite in Anderson, Powdersville, Belton and Seneca, as well as two locations already operated by AnMed in Anderson and Hartwell, Georgia.
Elite Integrated Therapy Centers is managing operations across all locations to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy to help people live life to the fullest. The partnership does not affect Elite’s remaining 10 offices located in other parts of the state.
In addition to expertise in outpatient therapy operations, Elite brings expanded professional development and staff training opportunities to the new venture. Residency and fellowship programs accessible through Elite will help AnMed and Elite train more therapists and offer more specialized care in the future, including services currently unavailable in the area.
“Excelling at addressing the health care needs in our growing community is a priority for our health system, and this collaboration with a proven provider helps us be even better,” said AnMed CEO William Kenley. “This provides more access to convenient, varied services, and it enables us to better achieve our mission to provide exceptional and compassionate care to the people of Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia.”
"It has been an honor and privilege to be offered the opportunity to partner with AnMed on this new venture,” said Elite Integrated Therapy Centers owner and CEO Paul Hecker. “We believe the strengths and tenured experience of our combined teams will make way for a comprehensive and attainable therapy experience for our patients. Elite’s mission to improve the overall health and quality of life of the communities we serve could not be better supported than by our partners at AnMed."
AnMed Integrated Therapy operates locations on Cornelia Road (opening in spring), Greenville Street and Station Drive in Anderson, as well as at the AnMed North Campus in Anderson; on State 153 in Powdersville; on Blue Ridge Avenue in Belton; on Clemson Boulevard in Seneca; and on Walmart Drive in Hartwell, Georgia.
“Strategic partnerships like this enable our independent, not-for-profit health system to expand and improve upon the services our patients need and deserve,” Kenley said. “In Elite Integrated Therapy Centers, we’ve found a partner who’s wonderfully aligned. We’re poised to build on our respective strengths and enhance the care that AnMed has provided to the community for more than a century.”
