(Anderson, S.C. – May 20, 2021) – AnMed held a groundbreaking event on May 19 for its newest family medicine practice, AnMed Central Family Medicine. Central’s mayor and the town administrator along with members of the AnMed executive team were among the guests at the event.
The practice sits on 1.3-acres of land, purchased by AnMed in April of last year. Construction on the $3.4 million project is well underway. The design for the practice calls for 12 exam rooms, a procedure room and space for in-house labs.
The practice will open with one board-certified family medicine physician. AnMed Central Family Medicine will be equipped at the opening to add three additional providers. A second primary care provider is expected to join the practice next summer.

The target opening date for AnMed Central Family Medicine is December 2021. The practice will join a broad physician network that spans the Anderson, Clemson, Pickens and Hartwell areas.
