When a loved one has a serious heart problem or multiple conditions that make care complex, rely on our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at AnMed Medical Center.
AnMed’s 15-bed CICU gives critically ill patients the focused care needed to recover from surgery and life-threatening conditions. The CICU team, including specialized critical care doctors and nurses, closely monitors and tends to your loved one.
High-Quality Heart Care
Our CICU is a role model to others because it won the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Beacon Award for Excellence. This national recognition is for exceptional, patient-centered CICU units using evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
AnMed has earned DNV Healthcare accreditation as a Top Performer on Key Measures for excellence in heart attack and heart failure care. DNV is an approved hospital accreditation organization through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Visiting the CICU
We allow two visitors at a time. You must be over 14 years old to visit. During visiting hours, you can walk in without an appointment. There’s also a phone outside each entrance to call the unit.
You’ll appreciate the comfortable environment and seating in our CICU visiting rooms, which have vending machines, phone charging stations and a TV.
