Internship Structure

Our four-week, well organized schedule allows you to work closely with our residents and attendings in both inpatient and outpatient settings at AnMed locations in Anderson, South Carolina. Acting interns are an integral part of the patient care team. You will develop and present care plans, enter orders and notes in the EMR, get feedback and have autonomy in our supportive, welcoming environment. In addition, interns will rotate in:

  • AnMed Primary Care – Family Medicine Residency
  • Inpatient adult teaching service
  • Inpatient OB/GYN
  • Inpatient pediatrics

During this time, you’ll work alongside residents to evaluate and manage patients in each area. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating a specific number of patients in each rotation site. You will also attend meetings and participate in various clinics and procedures, including dermatology, sports medicine and more. There will be one weekend and two night calls.
