Dr. Joseph Filek is a family medicine doctor at AnMed Primary Care – Anderson. Originally from Michigan, he was drawn to medicine by a lifelong interest in science and a strong desire to help others. He chose family medicine because it allows him to care for patients across all stages of life and manage a wide variety of health concerns.

Dr. Filek has a special interest in chronic disease management, including high blood pressure and diabetes. He also emphasizes preventive care, helping patients take steps to stay healthy and avoid future illness. His approach is built on trust, open communication, and long-term relationships with the people he serves.

Outside of work, Dr. Filek enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors—especially around lakes, rivers and oceans.
