I became a doctor because I find the human body fascinating and resilient. I chose sports medicine as my specialty because it provides nonsurgical care to treat musculoskeletal conditions to return you to sports, work and independent living. My specialty combines my passion for a healthy lifestyle and its physical and mental benefits with the skills to treat and educate you toward that goal. Remaining physically active is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to share that gift with you.
I treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions using various nonsurgical approaches. Treatments I provide include ultrasound-guided joint, nerve, or tendon injections using anesthetics, steroids, platelet-rich plasma, or prolotherapy. I also provide nutrition and training recommendations and treat sports-related concussions.
Medical Interests
Some of my special medical interests include:
- Tennis medicine
- Nutrition, training and injury recovery for endurance athletes such as cyclists, runners, and triathletes
- Adolescents/female young adults/women’s health and fitness, including the changes associated with post-menopause
Approach to Care
When you become my patient, I will listen to you to learn your goals, challenges and motivations to help you towards recovery and improved function. We will engage in shared decision-making to develop the best treatment plan for your success.
Personal
I’m a wife and mother of three children. I spend my free time outdoors as much as possible. I play tennis, road and mountain bike, run, and hike. I enjoy reading historical fiction and mystery novels.
