Dr. Shelly Benes is a family physician at AnMed Primary Care – Central, providing care for patients of all ages. She earned her undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Nebraska and completed her family medicine residency at a community-based hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Benes chose family medicine because it allows her to care for patients across all ages and backgrounds, helping them stay healthy and manage illnesses. She focuses on meeting patients where they are, explaining options, and supporting them in making informed decisions about their care.

Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family. Dr. Benes values practicing within the collaborative, community-focused environment at AnMed, where patients receive personalized care while benefiting from a wide network of specialists.
