Medical Interests

Dr. Patrick Downs is a vascular surgeon at AnMed Vascular Surgery, with a passion for helping patients understand and manage life-altering vascular conditions. He specializes in treating arterial blockages and weakened arterial walls, working closely with patients to restore their health and quality of life. Dr. Downs is dedicated to providing compassionate care throughout the treatment process, from diagnosis to post-treatment recovery.

His goal is to empower patients to regain control of their health and return to the activities they love.

Personal Background

A native of Charlotte, NC, Dr. Downs earned his medical degree at Campbell University in North Carolina. He then pursued postgraduate training in general surgery, followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery. Growing up in a household that emphasized serving others, along with a love for science, it was an easy decision for Dr. Downs to pursue a career in medicine.

As a Christian and a physician, Dr. Downs is committed to offering healing and comfort to those in his community. He sees his work as a way to share the care and compassion he has received throughout his life.

Outside of work, Dr. Downs is passionate about spending time with his family and strengthening his faith. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and adapts to the seasons. Currently, much of his time is spent hiking and camping with his wife and three young children.
