When thinking of the future, my love of caring for others and my interest in science made medicine an intriguing career choice. This choice was confirmed when I became a patient myself after a knee injury in high school. This was my first exposure to the field of orthopedics and the role of a physician assistant (PA). In college, I continued to explore this path by studying anatomy and physiology and pursuing PA shadowing experiences. After college, I attended PA school. I’m honored to be part of the healthcare team helping patients return to active and healthy lifestyles.
Medical Interests
My special interest is caring for people with hand, wrist, elbow and arm conditions. I work closely alongside our hand surgeon in the clinic and during surgery. I enjoy caring for patients with diagnoses such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, hand arthritis and fractures.
Professionally, I am a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA).
Approach to Care
I enjoy caring for people of all ages and activity levels and helping them return to what they love to do most. When you become my patient, I will take the time to get to know you and learn about your family, job and interests. By getting to know you and your goals, I can encourage and support you along the way to recovery.
Personal
Outside of the office, I love to be active. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, exercising, running and traveling. As Clemson alumni, my husband and I enjoy cheering on the Tigers!
