Benefits of E-Visits
E-Visits make care for minor conditions available wherever, whenever you need it. There’s no need to miss work or school or sit in a waiting room. An E-Visit gives you answers through your phone or laptop. All you need is an internet connection—no video or audio involved.
Start an E-Visit
Sign up or log into MyChart to launch your E-Visit with AnMed. You don’t need a MyChart account to begin.
Conditions Treated
You can use E-Visits for a wide range of everyday symptoms, such as:
- Back pain
- Cough
- COVID-19 symptoms
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Insect stings
- Heartburn
- Poison ivy
- Red eye
- Sinus problems
- Sunburn
- Swimmer's ear
- Urinary problems
- Vaginal discharge or irritation
E-Visits are not for emergencies. And E-Visits aren’t a substitute for long-term primary care.
Response Time
You’ll get a response to your E-visit form within four hours (but often sooner) between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. seven days a week. If we receive your form after 7 p.m., we’ll respond the next morning.
What if You Can't Treat Me?
You won’t be charged if we can't provide a diagnosis and treatment plan through an E-Visit. If you don't have a primary care doctor, please call us at 864-512-3748 and we will be happy to arrange an in-office appointment. You may also visit one of our CareConnect urgent care locations.
Will I Get a Prescription?
Yes, if your provider decides if it’s appropriate. You’ll be able to pick up the prescription at the pharmacy of your choice.
E-Visit Payment
An E-Visit costs $20 and is payable by credit card. You also can pay with your Health Saving Account (HSA) card. In most cases, insurance will not cover an eVisit , so the $20 will not apply to your deductible. Please call your insurance provider for specific information about your plan's coverage.
Security & Confidentiality
Patient confidentiality is important to us. E-Visits meet all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and requirements. We use the latest health technology through our MyChart portal and Experian partnership to secure your information.
