Vaccine Information Statements (VISs) are information sheets produced by the CDC that explain both the benefits and risks of a vaccine to vaccine recipients.
In addition to information about the vaccine’s risks and benefits, VISs contain information that may be useful later (e.g., information about what to do in the case of an adverse reaction, and where to find additional information about the disease or vaccine).
