About Us
AnMed’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) program helps physicians and healthcare professionals stay informed about the latest evidence-based treatments for their patients.
Our CME Programs
AnMed’s CME programs offer valuable learning opportunities to improve their practice via evidence-based educational activities that focus on advances in medicine, medical technology, and biomedical research, as well as changes in the healthcare environment.
Why CME?
We promote a dynamic learning community where healthcare professionals can expand their knowledge, strengthen professional connections, and collaborate effectively. Our programs not only share the latest medical insights but also provide a platform for experts to present, exchange ideas, and contribute to the improvement of patient care.
We also provide a structured forum for CME course planners and presenters. They can demonstrate their expertise and commitment to advancing standards of care and share ideas for maximizing program success.
Mission Statement
The mission of AnMed CME is to provide lifelong learning opportunities for physicians based on documented needs and practice gaps, utilizing evidence-based medicine fundamentals to enhance clinical competence and improve physician performance, with the ultimate goal of sustaining and enhancing the quality of patient care.
Expected Program Outcomes
AnMed’s CME Office uses a gap-analysis approach to develop high-quality CME activities that enhance knowledge, competence, and patient outcomes.
- Knowledge: Post activity surveys on activity content is used to measure what learners know as a result of participating in the activity.
- Competence: Self-reported changes to practice, recognition of barriers to make changes and participation in case studies measure the learner's application of knowledge skills, and behaviors into practice.
- Performance: Follow-up surveys addressing whether learners implemented identified changes, and assessments of performance in practice following activities measure learner's application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in practice.
- Patient Outcomes: Assessment of state-wide or regional performance in practice documentation that reflects changes in healthcare professionals and team performances that positively impacts the AnMed community.
Purpose of the CME Office
The AnMed CME office is committed to the practice of CME program improvement. The office will actively explore new educational technologies, develop collaborative relationships with other CME providers, and strive to build the capacity to evaluate competency-based outcomes among the clinicians we serve. Currently, we assess the impact and effectiveness of our CME activities via the use of performance improvement data, regulatory data, post-activity evaluations, and annual CME program evaluations.
