All On-campus Phone Calls

All calls within Upstate South Carolina, including calls from patient rooms, will require dialing the full 10-digit number, including the area code, beginning July 19, 2024. This is due to the introduction of a new 821 area code, and it applies to phones inside and outside of the AnMed system.

Existing phone numbers won't change. New lines or services may use the 821 area code starting August 19, 2024.

AnMed Medical Center: Calling a Patient Room

  • Outside callers: Dial 864-512-8000. When prompted, enter 552, followed by the room number. For example, to reach room 639, dial 552639 after calling 864-512-8000.
    • If you don’t know the room number, dial 0 at the prompt for operator assistance.
  • Inside callers: Dial #552, followed by the room number. For example, to reach room 639, dial #552639.

To support rest and healing, calls are forwarded to the operator from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily.
