  • CPR at Cannon

    AnMed Health Cannon’s Wellness Department offers monthly CPR classes on Friday mornings from 9 am-12:30 pm.  Class dates are subject to change.

    Participants must call 864-898-1254 to pre-register.

    American Heart Association Heartsaver Adult/Child Course (with or without Infant CPR & AED training)

    Cost: $55 per participant (including text)
    Time: 3 hours (varies according to number of participants)

    Cost: $75 per participant

    Health Care Provider CPR

    Cost: $50 per participant. We offer on-site classes for businesses or groups with a minimum of 6 participants required.

    CPR Training includes text, instruction with manikin, test and certification card. These classes can be conducted on site at your facility or at the hospital. Each class is taught by a certified American Heart Association instructor. Time is 3.4-5 hours (varies according to number of participants)

    **Per American Heart requirements, CPR manuals must be picked up at least a week prior to the class.  Payment is expected at that time.**

    Cost: Classes up to 15 participants $150, $10 per person for classes over 15 participants.

  • Nutrition Class

    AnMed Health Cannon offers a nutrition education class monthly. We generally meet the 2nd Thursday of each month from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. These classes focus on learning more about diabetes, and how food and exercise affect your blood sugar. We will help you learn how to choose the right foods for you to be healthier and manage your diabetes. We welcome anyone interested in learning more about nutrition, whether newly diagnosed or very experienced. The class is taught by a registered Dietitian.

  • Childbirth Education Class

    These classes help expectant parents understand the birth process including when to come to the hospital, stages of labor, natural relaxation and comfort measures, pain relief options, what to expect in your hospital stay, and postpartum care. Expectant mothers are advised to register for class by their fifth month of pregnancy to get their preferred class dates. The series should be completed four to six weeks before your due date.     Learn the amazing benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby. Classes are led by AnMed’s International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants. Topics to be discussed include tips for establishing breastfeeding well, positioning and latch tips for comfort, understanding newborn feeding patterns, choosing a breast pump and how to get help after leaving the hospital. Dad or another support person is welcome to attend with mom.

    Registration should occur by the fifth month of pregnancy to help ensure your preferred session. Class should be completed four to six weeks before your due date.

    This class is FREE and meets in the Peggy Gardner Deane Community Rooms at AnMed Women's and Children's Hospital.
